Victim Support’s Supportline is for anyone affected by crime to access the support needed to recover and move forward. THE CYBERSMILE FOUNDATION
Cybersmile provides an online help and advice centre, with topics including cyberbullying, digital abuse, gaming, mental health and online harassment. FORCED MARRIAGE UNIT
The government’s FMU is for those trying to stop a forced marriage or those needing help leaving a marriage they’ve been forced into. THE ACORN CENTRE
The Acorn Centre in Nuneaton provides counselling to women and men in Warwickshire, on topics such as the after effects of an abortion, coping with baby loss, symptoms of postnatal depression. GINGERBREAD
The Gingerbread Single Parent Helpline provides support and advice on anything from dealing with a break-up to going back to work or sorting out child maintenance, benefit or tax credit issues. STUDENT SERVICES LOST PROPERTY
Any lost property handed to Student Services (Ground Floor Senate House) can be collected during opening hours. Any valuables (phones, jewellery etc.) are kept until the end of the academic year, clothing is kept for 2 weeks until being donated to charity, bank cards and ID cards are kept for 48 hours before being destroyed, driving licenses and bus passes are kept for one month before being returned to the appropriate business. They will make every attempt to contact you if an item is handed in. If you have lost something and think it might be handed into reception, you can email or fill in a lost property form at the desk and they will let you know if anything arrives.

STUDENT SERVICES LOST ID CARD
Any new or replacement University ID card issued will need to be activated for full access to work. Within 10 minutes of the card being printed please make sure it is held against any main entrance reader located on campus for approx: 10-15 seconds for an update to process. The reader will flash blue whilst updating. Your card should then work. For printing purposes, your card will take from 12 hours to 24 hours before it can be used. If you are visiting us to collect your first ID card, please make sure you know your seven digit ID number and have uploaded your photo beforehand. You will be required to show photo ID to us before we print your card. We are unable to take photos at the desk and we do not provide lanyards. Student Information Centre cannot place access onto cards, we can only reprint, therefore if this is the service you require please enquire with your line manager/department. There will be NO CHARGE to replace lost/stolen University ID cards.

CHILD BENEFIT: GENERAL ENQUIRIES

TAXAID
TaxAid can help to advise anyone on low income who has been unable to resolve their tax problem with HMRC. IMPROVING ACCESS TO PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY (IAPT) COVENTRY

SAMARITANS
Samaritans offer confidential support for anybody who would like to talk to someone about any kind of problem. Topics they can help with include but are not limited to relationship and family problems, bereavement, financial worries, job-related stress, loneliness and isolation, depression, university or study-related stress, painful and/or disabling physical illness suicidal thoughts. They listen and can help callers make sense of their concerns and thoughts. STUDENT SPACE

THE MIX
The Mix offers help and support for young people aged 13-25. They can connect you to experts and peers who can give support and tools for any challenge or situation: ‘from everything from homelessness to finding a job, from money to mental health, from break-ups to drugs.’ They provide information through their range of services, including short term counselling. You can call them for both a short chat or some more focused help.

CALM
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) has a helpline for “people in the UK who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support.” Calls are taken by trained staff who are there to listen, support, inform and signpost, however they cannot provide a counselling service. On their website they also have many resources and information on signs that someone could be feeling suicidal, what to say to them, how to say it and where to find help.
