You can jump to a specific topic or scroll through the options. If your topic isn't listed or you want further support, you may wish to contact a Universal Helpline.

The organisations listed below are given in no order of preference; feel free to contact whichever service you would like or none at all. Please note that some of these services are advisory and are marked as such.

    Get Connected

    Get connected offers confidential help for young people under 25. They offer emotional support and information about appropriate further specialist help if necessary. Help may be on topics that include: Abuse and violence, bulling, discrimination, harassment, citizenship, cultural issues, mental health, gender and sexual identity, self-harm, addictions and legal issues.

    Childline Advisory

    Childline offers help and advice to children (up to 19 years old) about a wide range of issues that include physical, emotional and sexual abuse, family relationships, living in care, issues in school, college or university, (cyber) bullying, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, sexual identity, suicide, relationships, financial concerns, friendships, addictions, racism eating disorders, and legal matters.

    Family Line Advisory

    The Family Line helpline provides help and emotional support to anyone experiencing family problems including parents, carers, children, teens, spouses, lone parents and grandparents. Any problem can be discussed with them. Topics include abuse, adult relationships, bereavement, children, depression, divorce, separation, addictions, isolation, mental health, raising children, teenagers and testing behaviour.

  • Grandparent's Issues

    Grandparents Association

    Grandparents Association provides a confidential information and support helpline for those who have lost or are losing contact with their grandchildren because of divorce, family feud or other problems, are caring for their grandchildren on a full time basis or have childcare responsibilities for their grandchildren.

    Provides emotional support to anyone, in particular those who are socially isolated, vulnerable, at risk and victims of any forms of abuse .It can also offer details of support groups, helplines, agencies and counsellors throughout the UK.

    Premier Lifeline is a Christian helpline who offer emotional and spiritual support to those who are lonely, isolated, distressed and spiritually in need.

    Family Lives (Previously Parentline) Advisory

    FNF offers information, advice, guidance and support to parents on any aspect of parenting and family life, including bullying, divorce and separated families. Specialised support is offered weekdays, 6pm-10pm, on the same number.

    Families Need Fathers Advisory

    FNF offers information, advice and support to parents. The helpline seeks to obtain the best possible blend of both parents in the lives of children, and helps parents whose children's relationship with them is under threat.

    The Family Rights Group offers information and advice to families whose children are involved with or need children's services due to welfare needs or concerns.

    The Relationship Helpline is a free, confidential service based in Scotland for use by people in the UK. They will listen to any relationship concerns, including relationship difficulties with your partner, family, friends or colleagues.

    Gingerbread Advisory

    Gingerbread offers expert advice and practical support for single parents. Topics include dealing with a break-up, child maintenance, contact, employment, education, welfare benefits and tax credits, housing and debt.
